Finally broke the 250 mark, yay, me! 56 lbs. down now.
Still can't find the two new Kirk Scroggs "Grampa and Wiley" books...dangit...don't wanna order from Amazon, that's, like, you know...cheating.
Finished Gunslinger Born comics...hard to find that last one since the comic store I frequented closed up shop...but, yeah, awesomeness. Marvel is gonna start a NEW Dark Tower comic in February...ROCK!
Picked up the new Coulter book yesterday. Sadly, it's kinda like "How to Talk To a Liberal" in that it's a rehash of old stuff, mostly, unlike Godless, which was all new stuff. Is it just me or have the "conservatives" taken over the place once held by "liberal" radio shock jocks? You wanna offend somebody? Don't quote Howard Stern, quote Rush Limbaugh! I'm not sure what to think about that, really.
Don't like Coulter constantly throwing the Christian angle in there while scathingly lashing out at people, though. To quote the Book of Armaments, "Lord, bless this Thy Handgrenade that with it Thou mayest blow Thine enemies to tiny bits...in Thy mercy." All for saying things to upset people, after all, I did that throughout college...and still do. But to say, "Hey, I'm a Christian, and this is how Christians should behave!" whilst skewering her fellow man...a touch rough, methinks. Her thought out stuff (like the heavily footnoted Slander) is often undercut by her acidic stuff. More satire, less name calling, I think would work...you can have Christian satire, I believe. Or drop the Christian angle and say, "Hey, I'm a satirist/name caller! Whee!" Either way, I still find the book quite droll. "If you're going to be heretical, at least be funny" as I always say.
Related note: Saw some of the Half Hour News Hour on Fox News...dang, that was a let down...The Daily Show it is most certainly not. Why is there such a dearth of good, solid, fake news out there? Weekend Update has sucked on SNL since Kevin left...Norm was okay from time to time, but crap, it sucks now. Hey, remember Not Necessarily the News? Yeah? It sucked, too, so, fourth dimensionally speaking, there are a lot of of crappy fake news shows in existence

Oh, right...the Bears suck this year...sigh...but, at least the Saints suck worse...which I find funny because EVERYBODY has jumped on the bandwagon with advertising dollars...fools, don't you know ANYTHING about football? The Saints ALWAYS suck! Last year was an anomaly!
Saw The Constant Gardener...where Rachel Weisz won an Oscar for playing a pregnant woman...thing is...she WAS pregnant...how fair is that? Not a bad movie though...once you get halfway into it, it gets pretty good as the mystery of what she's been saying unravels.
